Aaaaaahhhh Portillos on North Ave with plenty of Memorabilia all over the place and excellent see thru kitchen area, so you can see them make your grub while you wait. Tasty delights and huge selections to choose from. Whatever your flavor or liking ,they can accommodate you. Place your order and wait to get your stuff.... Enjoy the sights and music playing in the background with plenty of other dine in customer's or take out orders plus drive thru No wonder that they have wall of fame of local celebrities plus more on the Wall!! !!
It's my first time of Chicago. Chicago style hot dog is great! The spiciness is addictively delicious. Also, staffs are kindly and friendly. It's really fun place.
Fantastic first experience. Hot dogs have a nice crisp snap (as they should). Toppings on the “everything” hot dog worked wonderfully. Peppers had a nice bite. Fries were fresh and were paired perfectly with the cheese sauce. Had a root beer to wash it all down. Bonus points for a dachshund in the logo.
The environment & decor is really cool! And the food is awesome! It's definitely worth stopping by!
I normally don’t do reviews, but felt compelled to tonight after the exceptional customer service I received. I ordered through the Portillo’s app (DoorDash) & once again, received my order with items missing. I didn’t call the first time cause I get things happen, but tonight I called the store & spoke to a manager named Eileen. She was WONDERFUL! And so sweet & apologetic about my situation. Eileen - I hope you see this review because it’s all about you. You were a breath of fresh air for me tonight & I thank you for your great customer service.
Love the Italian beef with sweet peppers and fries, brings back many Chicago memories! The Chicago dogs are good as well.
This places serves delicious food. We ordered - beef bowl, chicken burger, cheese burger, large fries,Rigatoni Vodka, italian sausage. Food was great, the flavor of food is yummy. They have decorated the place with all old italian heritage, struggles of italian community in the USA, old time living style, their achievements etc. It might amaze customers to see that all. The sitting space is really big. They offer free cups of water. The person at the order counter was very friendly. Must try.
